Working Principle of Steam Rotary Retort

Products loaded into sterilization basket enter retort. After products are in place, automatic cylinders press individually. Door closes and is locked through triple safety interlock. Throughout sterilization process, door is mechanically locked.

Sterilization process automatically performed according to data input to microprocessor controller PLC.

Hot water is injected into retort from hot water tank, cold air in retort is exhausted. Steam is injected from top of equipment, steam injection and drainage occur simultaneously. After all hot water in retort is discharged, continue heating to sterilization temperature. No cold points exist throughout heating and sterilization process.

During heating and sterilization stages, pressure in retort is completely generated by saturated pressure of steam. Back pressure is generated during cooling to prevent product packaging from deforming.

Entire work process, rotation speed and time of rotating body are determined by product process.
